Wager with the Wind/The Don Sheldon Story has become an Alaska aviation classic. Legendary bush pilot Don Sheldon, described in the foreword by James Arness as “a pilot’s pilot,” specialized in glacier landings on Mount McKinley and took part in countless rescue operations. Although he died in 1975, shortly after the publication of Wager with the Wind, but his exploits live on in this revised edition, which includes a postscript by the author.
