Author Steve Descloux tells two stories from his youth on Kodiak Island: "Wreck of the Rustler," the account of a near-disaster when a drunken skipper ran his boat aground on a rock on Christmas night; and "Confessions of a Seal Hunter," the story of Descloux's education in the art of hunting seals.
