Georgia watercolorist Gloria Sampson's earliest memories of Alaska were those of a young girl transplanted from Montana to the Alaska Territory, where her father was a glassblower making neon signs in Anchorage. As an adult returning to Alaska on a cruise, Gloria sees Alaska, its people, and its natural beauty in a whole new light. She records her experiences in the lovely Alaska Traveler's Sketch Book, a colorful, charming, and informative collection of sketches with the personal observations of someone coming home again.
